Apr. 8th, 2011 02:12 pmI'm Posty McPosterson today. Sorry. Blame Twitter, because I tend to think of things to say in quick bursts lately.
* Listening to "You Picked a Fine Time to Leave Me Lucille", one of the banner songs of my childhood (I'm having a Kenny Rogers thing today, shut up), and remembering that I used to think the lyric was, "four hundred children..." not "four hungry children".
* I might just end up putting on some John Denver or Anne Murray next. I see myself finishing out the day with Gordon Lightfoot. And possibly a viewing of Harold and Maude. (Apparently I'm under the impression it's the 70s today? I don't know.)
* Speaking of, I was watching Wristcutters: A Love Story the other day (I. Love. That. Movie. OMG. Tom Waits. TOM WAITS.) and it occurred to me that Patrick Fugit would have been a perfect choice for Harold in a remake of Harold and Maude if they'd done it about 10 years ago.
