A/N: This was written for [community profile] hd_holidays for [profile] amythystluna. Special thanks to [personal profile] thenotoriousso4, [personal profile] norgbelulah and [personal profile] ellensmithee for putting up with me while I tried to pare my ideas down into something that could actually be accomplished in the given time frame. Once I started thinking in non-linear scenes, I couldn't stop them from coming. The inspiration for the cottage is based on this image from my recipient's prompt.

Title: Lip Service
Characters/Pairings: Lee Jordan/Adrian Pucey

Other Warnings: Rimming, light bondage
Word Count: ~6,600
Summary/Description: Lee Jordan has a very big mouth. Adrian Pucey has a knack for invention.
Author's Notes: This was written for [info]daily_deviant for July 2011. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] ellensmithee, [livejournal.com profile] wendynat, and [livejournal.com profile] thenotoriousso4 for the betas! (Seriously, I used all three of them.) I haven't written anything this porny in ages. Honestly, I might have gone into a big of overkill with the porn.

Erotographomania - arousal from writing romantic or erotic letters or poems. I used several other monthly themes too (sensory deprivation, fingering, charms/talismans), but that's the big one. Anyway, enjoy! Thanks for reading!

* Updated The Librarian's Debt this morning. This story is so very much fun to write. I'm glad people seem to be enjoying it!

* Just got home from a second viewing of DH, which I loved even more the second time around. Plus, there was blessed air conditioning (seeing as the heat index is 115 degrees at the moment, that was the important part). Also, I came home to realize that I might have strep throat (!!!). Initially I thought it was a combination of heat and allergies. Anyway, no one wants to hear about that! So have my thoughts on the movie, take two:

Even more spoilers for Deathly Hallows Part 2 )

* Be well, flist!

The Librarian's Debt, Chapter 3 )

I'm collecting my thoughts on DH for a more articulate review post soon, but in the meantime, a couple of things.

* My proudest geekmom moment happened while sitting in the theatre waiting for the movie to start. Nine year-old hellmonkey pulled out his copy of The Hobbit and started reading it aloud to his grandfather. Because dwarf songs make the time pass faster!

* We're traveling again today, and seeing [livejournal.com profile] thistle_verse later!!!! But for now, I'd like to just sit here and write fic with all these ideas in my head. But I can't. Because there is no time! *sadface* (I know! What problems I have, right?)

* So, am I directing any of these DH pt 2 plot bunnies toward anything productive, like the stuff I need to be working on right now?

No, I am not.

I'm writing fic about Charlie and the escaped Gringotts dragon. (I don't think that needs a spoiler cut since it's not an actual scene from the movie, and it's book canon.) My brain started this after reading book 7, but I managed to make it go dormant for a few years. And apparently it's back now.

Honestly, I just completely lack the ability to not write about Charlie or Lee Jordan when I get struck with the inspiration. Teddy Lupin is quickly joining that list.

So, flist, what about you? Are there any characters/ideas that you're never able to shake once they hit you?

* Also? I need more/better HP icons. I've been thinking that for a long while, but now, I want them.

rillalicious: (Neville brave)
Just got back from the movie.

I want to see it again and again and again. And read the books again and again and again too.

Spoilers, in a non-linear fashion )

* I'm sure I'll have more thoughts later, when my brain settles in and processes more.

* In the meantime, flist, I'm counting on you guys to keep me from signing up from every HP fest, ficathon, comment fic meme, etc, that I come across. Because right now I want to WRITE ALL THE FIC OMG.

* Hey there, LJ. Why so dead on Tuesdays? It's like the internets don't realize that I'm bored with work today and need entertainment.

* Sometimes I feel like the only person in the world with no interest in tumblr. Or google +. I had a fleeting interest in Twitter, but that's pretty much evaporated now. *clings to LJ like the old lady I am*

* Speaking of aging, my birthday is next week. I have informed the hellmonkeys that they only have seven shopping days left. I'm not so sure the laughter I got in response is promising.

* Got our tickets to see DH pt 2 on Saturday. It's kind of going to kill me to have to wait out Friday, but my brother wants to go with us and has Saturday off. So. Remind me to pack tissues.

* I know you were all waiting with bated breath for the resolution to my art-on-the-walls dilemma, and I've finally come up with something. The blank wall in the living room is getting a cluster of fox themed artwork, and a few framed quotes (Vonnegut's "Everything was beautiful and nothing hurt" is the first one I've ordered). I decided that too much wolf art was too... reminiscent of Three Wolf Moon, which, while AWESOME for a t-shirt, isn't really the vibe I'm going for in home decorating. The kitchen is getting some mid-century modern posters and photograph prints. The hallway is getting a lovely framed Buddha print. Now I just need to worry about the blank wall in the dining room. At the moment I'm thinking vinyl wall decal, maybe a branch of blossoms and birds, but I'm not married to that idea.

* Writing a bit. Getting my SS/HG groove back on. Working on my [livejournal.com profile] pphpficexchange (Harry/Pansy exchange) and totally excited about it. Also, writing some smutty smut.

* Here, have a quick, lovely Hawaii Five-O rec: Known by [livejournal.com profile] sheafrotherdon. Steve/Danny. ~750 words. R rated. Spoilers through the end of S1. This fic is so beautiful and dreamy and perfect. OMG. It makes my heart happy.

* Okay, time to get cleaned up and find a place with air conditioning to kill a few hours.

* <3 flist.

Meme!

[livejournal.com profile] rayvyn2k posted this cute meme, and it looks like a fun way to get to know my flist a little better.

Comment with "Come at me, bro," and:
- I'll respond by asking you five questions so I can get to know you better.
- Update your journal with the answers to the questions.
- Include this explanation in the post and offer to ask other people questions.

1. How did you get into HP fandom?
Hmm, let's see. I first read the books around the time Goblet of Fire came out, because I was working at a book store and people had SO MANY questions about them, and really, once I started, I was hooked. I went to look something up online and stumbled across Harry/Hermione fics and read a ton of them, then I had eldest hellmonkey and sort of forgot about it. Then OotP came out, and I remembered fanfic, wanted more, and found McAmy's fics. I was immediately addicted to SS/HG. I read all everything I could find, and started writing myself. This was back in the days of aff.net and yahoo groups and OMG, my first fics were TERRIBLE Mary Sue garbage. I've erased them from the internets as much as possible. Then a friend wrote a fic where Snape and Hermione used livejournal to communicate, and she commented in the A/N about how great LJ was for community building, and I joined LJ and have been here (mostly) ever since. Odd bit of trivia, I have never posted a fic on FF.net. I don't even have an account there.

2. What is your favorite thing to do to relax?
Write. Sitting somewhere quiet with my laptop and a cup of coffee or a glass of wine is my very favorite thing in the world.

I have four hellmonkeys, so you can imagine how often that actually happens.

3. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Oh, that's a good one. There are so many places I'd like to go. India, Ireland, Greece and Prince Edward Island are at the top of my list. PEI is infinitely more doable than the rest. And not to be predictable, but the "why" for that one is definitely Anne of Green Gables.

4. What (or who) inspires you?
Books inspire me a lot. I've noticed recently that my writing style tends to change when I'm absorbed in another author's work. I've been back on an Alice Hoffman kick lately, and I'm writing a lot more narrative than usual.

Real life things inspire me a lot too. It always struck me as funny that so many people thought I was writing a war story with In the House of Fallen Angels (though I'm glad it came across that way, since it is a story that takes place during war), when it was really loosely based on my grandmother's experience in a nursing home.

And music. Dar Williams, Johnny Flynn, Laura Marling. Listening to them is a always a surefire way to kickstart my muse. (I've given SO MANY of my fics/chapters titles from Dar Williams songs.)

5. Who is your favorite HP minor character?
Lee Jordan. Hands down. And book 7 just firmed that up for me. I adore Lee's character so much. He has a pet spider. Spiders are cool. I'm not outgoing at all IRL (I have some pretty heavy social anxiety issues), and I always admired that about Lee. He's funny, and brave, and I love how JKR left his reaction to the twins leaving him behind at Hogwarts wide open. Clearly, by DH they're close again, but I love contemplating those middle years. I love the early hints that he was badgering Angelina for a date at Hogwarts, and then she goes on to marry his best friend. And then there was Lee's radio show during DH. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH, OMG.

My other favorite minor characters: Charlie Weasley (a pretty close second, but he's just not as much of a presence in the books as Lee, so it's fanon Charlie that I've come to love), Neville, Luna, Tonks, Minerva...

Honestly, though? There's not a single character in these books that I dislike. I love them all like they're friends. (Or, er, enemies, I guess, LOL!)
