19 - a song from your favorite album - Gin Blossoms' New Miserable Experiences, Hey Jealousy
I'm cheating on this one. NME was my favorite album at one point in high school. I still know every single word. And since I've picked songs from my current favorite albums for other days, I'm going with this one, which is still near the top of the list. This song reminds me of just driving when I was a teenager (usually after kidnapping the boyfriend--who was, at the time, "the best friend"--and saying, "You don't need to be anywhere for the next four or so hours, do you?") and having nowhere in particular to go. This album was my driving music. This song especially.
In other news, last week I was watching General Hospital as I've tended to do every now and then for the past 30 years, give or take, and had a very amusing exchange with the boyfriend (who also watches GH on occasion). It involves the image that accompanied the conversation, so I'm putting it behind a cut:
Boyfriend: *walks into room*
Me: *points at screen* ... jackets... they match.
Boyfriend: *shrug* They had a groupon.
Also? I am wide awake at 2 am. Does not bode well for tomorrow.
