* I am behind on that fanfic meme, so here are yesterday's and today's:
* 4 – Do you have a "muse" character, that speaks to you more than others, or that tries to push their way in, even when the fic isn't about them? Who are they, and why did that character became your muse?
This is a weird question to me, but then, I fully admit to not quite understanding the whole muse concept. To me it's just a catch-all term for general inspiration. So, I guess I could say that I find certain characters inspiring in certain situations, and I'll see/read things that leave me itching to write fic (at the moment, it's sadpants!Ron and Hugo after Rose leaves for Hogwarts). I also have some personal tropes that I just can't help writing in to a lot of fics. Charlie Weasley giving sex advice is a big one that I try to be conscious of when I'm writing for anon fests, because I think I'm making myself a bit obvious there.
* 5 –If you have ever had a character try to push their way into a fic, whether your "muse" or not, what did you do about it?
So this is kind of the same as the second half of the last question, isn't it? (Y'all have to excuse the fact that my reading comprehension skills have melted.) But I guess that's happened recently. crowley_bigbang to an obnoxious degree. I've decided that I'm going to eventually make that part of a much longer Draco/Hermione fic, sort of the first leg of it, I guess. I don't know if I even know anybody who will read it, but I can't quite turn off the character voices in the back of my head, so.
I guess my answer to this one is that I just rework the story to make it work. Or sometimes I'll start a new story with that other character as the focus.

norgbelulah is working on an AMAZING Justified AU fic and I've had the privilege of getting glimpses as she goes and OMG, you guys. You all will HAVE to read it when she's done. So much love for this premise that I can't stand it.
* I still have a ton of reading to catch up on, but unfortunately this migrainy thing killed my ability to work yesterday, so I have to catch up on that first. Stupid grown up responsibility.
* I used my birthday Barnes and Noble gift cards to finally get copies of our own of Inkspell and Inkdeath (we've taken them out of the library so many times that I'm starting to feel guilty). Prepare for an upcoming diatribe on how I will never understand why these books didn't reach the levels of popularity of the Potter books. I adore them so much. I can't even tell you guys. Read them. Read them and love them. And if you have read them, I want to discuss them SO BADLY I CAN'T EVEN TELL YOU.
* Way behind on summer TV viewing. I'm thinking of cutting my losses with a few shows and just trying to catch up on Burn Notice as I can. I still haven't seen every ep of last seasons H5-0, for goodness sake. This is why I went years without watching TV. I'm not good at it.
* Okay, we're off again to suck up some free air conditioning. I know I owe people comments and I swear I'll try to catch up this evening.
